Elan Katz

Elan is the visionary, founder, and CEO of a Specialty Infusion, with 20 years of experience- he is responsible for the strategic planning and efforts that nurture the continuous growth of his multi-divisional healthcare company. By 2011, Elan owned and operated over 22 pharmacies, spanning from New York to Florida, demonstrating his comprehensive knowledge and versatility in the pharmacy industry from retail to specialty.

Always looking for opportunities and needs that were not being met, in 2018, Elan saw a tremendous shift into out-patient care from the urgent care outflow and created the Speciality Infusion Centers. Currently, Elan serves as the CEO with eight locations in the New York area and a strategic plan to expand to the entire United States.

As an active leader in his field, Elan is a member of organizations such as The American Pharmacist Association (APA), The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), and the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA). Elan is an avid supporter of causes including cancer and HIV research and a proud contributor to foundations and charities, including the Lustgarten Foundation, Hormone Therapy Centers of America (HTCA), and The Bridge.

Dr. Jake Deutsch

Dr. Jake Deutsch is the Chief Medical Officer and co-founder of Specialty Infusion Centers. His extensive medical experience has greatly contributed to the superior outpatient experience Specialty Infusion provides every patient. Prior to the inception of the state-of-the-art infusion centers, Dr. Deutsch practiced emergency medicine at Hackensack Medical Center and was ranked highest in patient care and satisfaction year after year. By having over 15 years of urgent care experience, Dr. Deutsch is not only a highly specialized practitioner but one that also cares about keeping his patients happy and health.

“Practicing medicine takes more than book smarts and a prescription pad. It’s a balance of listening to patients, making diagnosis, and being compassionate. I am grateful for this gift that my career path has led.” Dr. Deutsch is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and attended University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is currently holds privileges in the Mount Sinai Health System. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Deutsch regularly appears on CBS and Fox News as a trusted medical source.

Dr. Theresa Piotrowski

Dr. Theresa Piotrowski has served as a physician in both private practice and at local hospitals in New England for over 25 years.  Dr. Piotrowski is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in Oceanside, CA and proudly served on active duty as a Navy Officer and Physician for six years. While in private practice, Dr. Piotrowski owned and operated Transformations Medical Weight Loss where she worked with patients to take a wholistic approach to weight control and nutrition.

She is presently Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at York Hospital in Maine.  Previously she has worked as a Hospitalist at Nashoba Valley Regional Hospital, Athol Hospital and Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Dr. Piotrowski is Board Certified in Family Practice and Obesity Medicine and is a member of The American Society of Bariatric Physicians and The Obesity Society.

Dan Sweatman

Dan Sweatman is the Chief Operations Officer for Specialty Health. With his experience in healthcare services, Dan brings an abundance of expertise to Specialty Health. Previously, he served as a Regional Lead at Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) and OptumCare, a health services firm that partners with physicians, health plans and health systems to develop and operate ambulatory surgery centers and support independent physician practices. There, he led operations and growth for SCA’s New England portfolio of surgery centers. Earlier Dan worked at Goldman Sachs’ healthcare investment banking practice, covering the healthcare services and diagnostics space.

Dan is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served 11 years as a helicopter pilot in the Navy. In his spare time Dan is a Commander in the Navy Reserve and volunteers as a Naval Academy field admissions officer.
