ACTEMRA® (Tocilizumab) is an immunosuppressive drug used to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis.

ACTEMRA® is manufactured by Genentech.

Administration and Dosage:

Administration of ACTEMRA® can be a 60 minute intravenous infusion every 4 weeks or a weekly/biweekly injection.

Common Side Effects:

There are some serious side effects of ACTEMRA®, since it changes the way your immune system works. This can make you more susceptible to infections or exacerbate any current ones. Some serious infections that people contract while taking ACTEMRA® include tuberculosis (TB) and infections caused by bacteria, fungi, or viruses that can spread throughout the body.
